Welcome to My Psychedelic Garden

Art photographer Inna Etuvgi alias MyPsychedelicGarden - Sweden based emerging artist spesialising on macro photograph of northern nature

Hello and welcome!

I'm Inna Etuvgi, a Swedish-based art photographer with Arctic roots and Aphantasia.

My work is a response to the delicate balance of life that I learned to respect growing up in the Arctic, where survival depends on the smallest signs of nature. Through macro photography, I magnify the hidden beauty of mosses, lichens, and dewdrops—overlooked organisms that play an essential role in maintaining ecosystems—challenging the human-centered worldview.

With Aphantasia, my inability to visualize images internally, nature becomes my external mirror, reflecting my inner landscapes, coloured with emotions and sensations. This intimate dialogue with nature drives my creative process. By incorporating AI and generative digital art, I extend this exploration, blending the organic with the technological, to examine how humans fit into both natural and social systems.

Ultimately, my art serves as a reminder of the fragile interconnectedness of all life. As we push forward into an increasingly technology-driven future, my work encourages viewers to pause, reconsider their place in the world, and embrace a more mindful and compassionate relationship with nature.

Review for the art of Inna Etuvgi by art critic Tabish Khan

Dear friends,

I am thrilled to share a significant milestone in my artistic journey: my first art critic review by none other than Tabish Khan, a world-renowned art critic who holds a prominent position in the international contemporary art scene.

This invaluable opportunity was made possible by Boomer Gallery, whose support and commitment to emerging artists like myself have opened doors to new horizons.

I am deeply grateful for this experience and look forward to sharing more of my artistic endeavours with you all.

Warm regards,

Inna

EXHIBITIONS:

Art Exhibition "Untouchable" - Venice, 2024

The Untouchable exhibition, organized by Arte Design Venezia in collaboration with Galleria ADmore, has come to a close, but the experience lives on through a special video, crafted by the talented curator Ayune M. Namur. I am deeply grateful to Ayune, not only for her incredible curatorial work but also for capturing the essence of the event so beautifully in this video, which you can now view here.

The exhibition, held from August 3rd to September 1st, 2024, at Lo Verso Art Studio on Venice's enchanting Giudecca Island, was a true highlight of the 60th Venice Art Biennial. It brought together artists from Brazil, Canada, France, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, and Japan to explore the theme of the 'untouchable,' from the physical to the emotional. The atmosphere was intimate and welcoming—an ideal space to reflect on concepts that transcend our grasp, both in the physical and the spiritual sense.

I was honoured to present two of my works, Aphantasia's Flight and Rainbow Morning, as part of this exhibition. These pieces delve into the unseen beauty of nature, drawing on my personal experiences with Aphantasia to evoke the intangible facets of our inner lives. Through macro photography, I invite viewers to look closely, to find the extraordinary in the simple, and to explore the deep connection between nature and our most private thoughts.

Take a look at the video to see how cozy and inviting the exhibition truly was, and experience the journey we shared, exploring the invisible threads that connect us all. 🌿✨
