FOREST STORIES - limited edition fine art photography print
"FOREST STORIES" - a photo of a Cladonia Pixi-cup lichen, 2021.
In the forest, everything connects with everything else in harmony; it seems to me that life in Nature is all about connections and cooperation.
Even if you look at the forest floor, inhabited by tiny species, you see the harmony of neighboring different lichens and mosses. As they emerge from the symbiosis of fungus and seaweed, the lichens themselves are a shining example of collaboration in a harmony in which everyone wins. Fungus gives protection and seaweed produces energy, and working together, they create a lichen that is able to survive where fungus or seaweed and many others can’t.
Cooperation, when everyone wins, is what a forest tells us about!
This photo is a part of the "SAGOSKOGEN" collection - a collection of photo stories, told by the Swedish forest in the visual language.

This meticulous choice of materials not only meets but exceeds my inner perfectionist's demands, ensuring deep, vibrant colors, stark contrasts, and impeccable detail reproduction in every print.
Moreover, as a testament to its exclusivity, each print is a limited edition, personally signed and numbered by me. It also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, guaranteeing its originality and value.

Printing is a special part of my working process. It is my favorite kind of magic - the transformation of a photo from digital into material. It is a very special feeling to hold the print of a photo, feel it... It is very different than having it on the screen. But it can be a little tricky to get the quality of a picture on the paper, same as on screen. And in this process, the quality of media plays a big role as well as the equipment.
For printing my artworks I use museum-quality fine art paper from Hahnemuehle and archival pigment inks from Canon. Such a combination of materials produces outstanding prints, that satisfy my inner perfectionist's expectations about the depth of the colors, contrast, and reproduction of details.
All papers of Hahnemuehle company designed for archival storage are acid-free, which makes them highly resistant to aging.
